About us:

Letaba Nursery is situated on Riverbend Farm in the Tzaneen area since 1972.  Johann Bergmann has been the owner since 1978.  The nursery is run by the owner and a staff of 20 workers.

Five hectares are under shadecloth and the rest of the sixteen hectares are planted with palm, mango and litchi trees.  Along the scenic views of the Letaba River and Yamorna weir is a garden of established mother plants.

You will not be able to buy plants via this website but you may visit or contact us to place you order.

Office hours:

Weekdays: 7.00am - 1.00pm and 2.00pm - 4.30pm
Saturdays: 7.00am - 11.30pm

Important Notice:

Plants may be ordered before seasons and we will put aside and hold plants until they are ready to your satisfaction for no extra charge. 

Conditions of sale

Prices quoted are wholesale prices and include VAT only to bonafide registered nurseries, municipalities and landscape contractors.  These customers also qualify for 10% discount for 30 days from invoice date 60 days nett.  Any amount outstanding in excess of 60 days will attract daily interest at the ruling rates applicable from time to time, unless we have been advised in advance on any relevant outstanding queries on the amount.  This interest charge will apply to all acounta exceeding the agreed terms.  These prices are subject to change without notice.

Transport & Delivery By SA Railways

All prices quotes f.o.r Tzaneen Station.   Minumum order for railway trucks direct to your nurseries is 300 plants.   1200x2.5 litre bag fills mini container. Railways account number needed.   Plants are watered in the truck and delivery is fast.  Plants railed at buyers risk.  Claims for losses, damages etc should be lodged DIRECT with SPOORNET.

Road Transport - Private Contractors

All road transport is C.O.D direct to owner of transport.  Can arrange for:

(i) 6 ton truck that can load +2400 plants in 2.5 litre bags = 45c per plant delivered.

(ii) Bigger trucks can be arranged for 40-45c per plant.  These prices are subject to change without notice.
